A No-Commitment Way to Transform a Kid’s Room

One of the easiest ways to make a kid’s room feel special is to do something interesting with the walls, but I don’t always want to commit to wallpaper or paint especially when kids’ tastes change approximately every five minutes. That’s why I love Mej Mej. Their removable wall decals feel much more like artwork than traditional stickers. The designs are created from original watercolor illustrations and printed on a soft fabric material, which gives them a really pretty, almost hand-painted look once they’re on the wall.

That was the biggest thing that stood out to me. They don’t have that shiny, plasticky sticker finish that can sometimes make decals look temporary or overly “kid.” Mej Mej feels softer and more elevated, so you can create a playful room without making it feel chaotic. They also have a huge range of designs, from florals and animals to sports, dinosaurs, bows, fruit and little scenes you can build across an entire wall. You can use just a few as accents or go all-in and essentially create your own mural.

I also love the flexibility. Because they’re removable and repositionable, you don’t have to panic about getting the placement perfect on the first try. You can move things around until the wall feels balanced, and later switch them up as the room changes.

For kids’ spaces especially, I think that matters. Their interests evolve so quickly, and it’s nice to have something that adds a ton of personality without locking you into one look forever... plus it won't destroy your walls!!! They literally don't leave even a smidge of glue behind let alone rip off your paint as most cheaper (and even more expensive) alternatives do.
