CeCe Freade Is Taking a Calmer Approach to Aging Skin

There are enough things competing for our attention without skincare becoming a full-time job.

That’s part of what makes CeCe Freade interesting. The brand was created by longtime friends Caroline and Casey, along with chief chemist Haley, after dealing with their own changing skin in their 40s — think dryness, sensitivity and hormonal breakouts.

Instead of building a complicated routine around aggressive actives, CeCe Freade focuses on calming, hydrating and supporting the skin barrier. The line is refreshingly small with just four core products: a cleanser, serum, face cream and mist.

The formulas take inspiration from French and Korean skincare and include ingredients like squalane, vitamin B5, red ginseng root extract and brown algae extract. What we like most is that it feels realistic for this stage of life: effective skincare without needing 30 minutes and an entire bathroom shelf.
